SEEDS from last year’s giant sunflowers have come good again this year for the Iles family with eight foot eight inch (2.6 m) tall monsters having been grown by Adrian at his home near Crediton, delighting his twin granddaughters.

Seven year-old Sky and Sienna Rogers live in Crediton, visiting their grandad at least twice-a-week, checking on the growth of the sunflowers and the giant pumpkins Adrian grows.

“Great Granma grew them from seeds the previous year, we keep the seeds from the largest sunflower and pumpkin each year to grow the next,” he said.
