CHERITON Fitzpaine Garden Club’s Spring Show was very successful, despite the early growing season, and recent frosts.
The quantity and quality of the entries was very good and several new, and younger members entered. The Tea Room was busy throughout the afternoon, and it was lovely to work in the newly-renovated kitchen.
A workshop had been held on the Thursday preceding the show to enable youngsters to practise their floral arrangement entries, which was led by Show President Sarah Tricks.
Results: Most points in Floral Art - Andrew Dean; Best exhibit in Floral Art - Nora Bulled for “TV - Gardener’s World”; Youth (eight to 11 years) - Holly Taylor Shorland, (12 to 16 years) - Evie O’Brien; Brownies - Annabelle Moger; Rabbit Trophy - Aidan Hall for Cup Cakes; People’s Choice (Photo) - Hannah Frost; (Floral Art) - Hannah Frost and Children’s - Holly Skinner.
The cups and trophies were presented by the Chairman, Paula Mossman.
Thanks go to Barbara Pratt, Show Secretary, who put in so much effort to achieve a marvellous show.
