A MEMBER of Crediton Library Book Group "Max's Marvellous Book Munchers" is the latest Crediton Library recipient of a Gold Book Track Award.

Lauren Joy (9), from Bow, a pupil at Bow Community Primary School, read 100 books borrowed from Crediton Library to win the award.

The scheme is run by Devon Library Service.

Lauren said she particularly enjoys funny books, adding that her favourite authors were Jacqueline Wilson and Enid Blyton.

She previously lived at Morchard Bishop and attended Morchard Bishop Primary School.

She is a member of the Fourth Crediton Brownies and enjoys drama with Crediton Youth Theatre.

Lauren was presented with her certificate and badge by Crediton Library assistant, Hilary Ward.
