RESIDENTS are being encouraged to make the most of Mid Devon District Council’s garden waste collection service.

It provides a simple and environmentally friendly way for residents to dispose of grass cuttings, hedge trimmings, leaves and small branches without the need for trips to the recycling centre.

Collected every two weeks, all garden waste is sent for composting, helping to support a greener Mid Devon.

For those who do not require regular collections, compostable sacks are available on a pay-as-you-go basis at £1.80 per sack. These can be purchased individually and used as needed, making them ideal for occasional garden clear-outs.
