George and William’s Big Breakfast raised £516

TWO boys from Lapford, assisted by their family and friends and with the support of the local community, have so far raised more than £647 for Children in Need.

George and William recently came up with the idea of holding a Big Breakfast to aid the charity.

It took place at Lapford Victory Hall on Saturday, September 19 and many people went along during the morning.

Breakfasts were very reasonably priced at £8 for a small and £10 for a large, made using local produce.

There was also a raffle which also helped to raise money.

Prior to the day the two boys raised £50 by selling items outside their home.

Mum Stacey Lumsdon, said: “A huge thank you to everyone in our wonderful community who came along to George and William’s Big Breakfast, as well as everyone who has donated so far!

“The morning raised an incredible £516, taking their overall fundraising total to more than £600!

“The boys are absolutely thrilled and incredibly grateful for everyone’s support. They’re already looking forward to completing a few more fundraising challenges between now and Children in Need Day in November!”
