CREDITON Library is holding a Fun Palace tomorrow afternoon (Friday, September 30) and Saturday morning (October 1).
Fun Palaces is an ongoing campaign for culture at the heart of community, with an annual weekend of free arts, science and sports activities created by, for and with local people.
Friday, September 30
1.30pm – 3pm: Three Parks accessible guided walk with Redvers Ramble guide Heather, suitable for families with pushchairs.
2pm – 4pm: Carpet bowls with Paul from the Friends of Crediton Library.
3pm – 4pm: Try out some musical instruments with James and Chris from Crediton Town Band.
4.30pm – 5.15pm: Try out a children’s bookgroup - children’s book related activities with Beth (specifically aimed at Years 6 and 7).
Saturday, October 1
10am – 12.30pm: Carpet bowls with Paul from the Friends of Crediton Library.
10.30am – 12 noon: Feather and leaf printing with artist Jane.
10.30am – 11.30am: Fencing with Graham from the Crediton Fencing Club.
Sue Lee, Crediton Library Supervisor, said: “I am very grateful that so many people have volunteered to share their skills with the community and given their time for free. This has enabled the library to put on a variety of fun and interesting free activities for everyone to try out. There is such a buzz of activity in the library at our annual Fun Palace.”
No need to book, just drop in and have-a-go.
