MEMBERS of the Friends of Crediton Library (FoCL) have been working hard to raise funds to purchase new equipment for the library.

The Friends recently contributed £632.40 towards the supply and installation of new blinds for the library. A grant of £1,600 was also received from Investors in Devon.

A PA system and media equipment (ie, projector, laptop, screen and accessories) have also been purchased for the library.

FoCL are also very pleased to have provided funds to enable the Crediton Library to purchase a substantial amount of Lego to start up a Lego Club, which runs every Monday, after school, and is attracting 20–25 children every week.

Activities during the Devon Library Service Summer Reading Challenge at Crediton Library were also been supported by the Friends and they were pleased that such a large number of children signed up initially, and then went on to complete the challenge.
