CHANGES will take place on September 19 2012 to the numbering of Freeview channels.

DMOL; the company which manages a range of technical functions for the UK's digital terrestrial TV network (Freeview), which includes delivery of the channel listing and programme information to viewers, have published a review of the numbering in order to make the on screen guide easier to manage.

Most channels will keep their positions and stay within their genres. The update will include more provision for general entertainment channels in a continuous block.
