MID Devon District Council has approved free car parking in its long-stay car parks on the three Saturdays in December prior to Christmas and also on Christmas Eve.

The free parking will run from 8am to 6pm at St Saviour’s Way car park in Crediton on Saturdays, December 5, 12 and 19 and on Thursday, December 24.

There will also be free parking on the same Saturdays in the Station Road car park, Cullompton (8am to 6pm) and at Tiverton’s Mult-storey car park (6am to 8pm).

Mid Devon District Council says the free parking on the Saturdays in the run-up to Christmas has been arranged to enhance trade in the district’s market towns and to support local Christmas programmes.
