TOMORROW, Friday, December 29, between 7pm and 9pm, there is a chance to enjoy some old films on Crediton and the Devon area in Crediton Library.

The evening, organised by the Folklore Library and Archive, is part of the weekly free events taking place as part of the Warm Spaces initiative, funded by a grant from the National Grid.

Among the films being shown are a documentary about Crediton Parish Church and a vintage TV programme about Devon presented by Professor W.G. Hoskins. Other programmes of local interest will be screened on the evening too.

The event is totally free and there will be hot drinks available on the night. People can drop in, but to guarantee a seat please email: [email protected] or contact Crediton Library to say that you will be there.

Enjoy a free evening in that traditionally dull time between Christmas and New Year!

The full Friday evening programme of events between January and March will be available to pick up at this event and will be publicised via posters, social media and the “Crediton Courier” soon.
