MID Devon District Council is introducing free parking in Crediton to support local businesses during the build-up to Christmas.

In addition, MDDC is supporting the Christmas in Crediton Lights Switch-On event, which will take place on Saturday, November 27, by permitting free parking in the St Saviour’s Way Car Park throughout the day.

The Market Street Car Park in Crediton will be closed from 1pm to 7pm on Saturday, November 27 due to road closures in the area of the Town Square for the Lights Switch-On event.

This time of year is an important time for traders, and MDDC wants to help encourage shoppers to the town.

For this reason, the St Saviour’s Way Car Park and Market Street Car Park will also offer free parking each day on Saturdays, December 4, 11 and 18.
