DOZENS of people went along to Sustainable Crediton’s fourth yearly Big Green Fair on Saturday, September 28.
The event was held between 11am and 2pm in Crediton Town Square.
There was a wide variety of stalls for people to enjoy, from climate education to local food and drink and recycled items.
Sustainable Crediton’s Community Larder Group provided free soup and bread, and there were also activities for children, many of whom enjoyed making their own smoothies on the “smoothie bike”.
Tony Miller, band Seraph, the Sandford Sings choir and others entertained with live music.
Stalls showcasing local environmental groups and projects such as the Devon Wildlife Trust, the Friends of the River Exe and Exeter Community Energy were also at the event.
Caroline Romijn, the Secretary of Sustainable Crediton, said she thought this year’s fair had gone “very well” and spoke about how it had been “really lovely to see so many visitors coming” who were interested in sustainability.
