WELL done Crediton RFC for all your efforts to fly the flags in the High Street.

The tournament is poorer for England’s exit of course, but it’s a good time to remember that the underlying foundation of every sport worldwide is Good Sportsmanship.

Likewise, it is pleasing to see in the High Street, fly-posters which have been acceptably constructed.

A polite reminder of what is not acceptable when securing your laminated posters: staples, drawing/poster pins, sticky tape of any kind.

Simply hole-punch your poster and tie with string (or ribbon if you wish!!!).

You may use the Town Council’s fixing points, or tie around other posts.

Please be aware that all the posts are the property of outside agencies, e.g. Western Power, etc etc and without their goodwill, we would have very few places to use.

So please be sure not to obscure their reference numbers and warning signs, nor post so low that you restrict access to their control panels.

It is encouraging that posters are being taken down promptly, and this is very much appreciated.
