CREDITON Morrisons store has highlighted how fly tipping is causing issues around its recycling containers.

A spokesperson said on social media: “Over the last 6 months we have seen an increase in the amount of household and recyclable waste left on the floor around the recycling containers.

“This is obviously a health hazard and attracts pests like seagulls who then split the bags open looking for food and spread the rubbish across the car park.

“It is not our responsibility to sort your recycling for you or dispose of your household waste.

“Unfortunately if the fly tipping continues we will be forced to have the recycling containers removed permanently.

“Please share this post so word gets round and this is stopped before we have to take action, thank you.”
