ST MARY’S Church at Morchard Bishop is holding a Flower Festival on Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23.

This year the festival theme is Biblical Stories - think Noah’s Ark, Moses in the Bull Rushes etc. so many to choose from, in fact a whole book full for the arrangers to run riot with to depict all these stories in flower arrangements, whilst also helping to raise funds for the Church.

There will also be an In Memoriam Flower Arrangement alongside the names of those to be remembered.

Opening times are 10am to 6pm on the Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on the Sunday.

Entry to the Festival is by programme at the door of the Church on the day and costs £1 per adult, children free admission. There is disabled access to both Church and the Memorial Hall (and a toilet for disabled in the hall.)

In the Hall will be ploughman’s lunches (12 noon to 2pm) and Cream Teas (2.30pm to 4pm) on both days. Also in the Hall will be garden plant, bric-a-brac and jewellery stalls and a voucher raffle. There is free car parking in the Car Park opposite the Church and only a short walk to the hall.

After the Festival ends on Sunday there will be a Church Service in St Mary’s Church at 5pm, a light-hearted service of hymns and humorous readings and poems.
