THE weather was good for the visit of Mid Devon Farming Life Group to Shobrooke Park Gardens.

Neil Partridge, one of the gardener's, welcomed everyone and talked about the history of the estate.

Members were shown some of the estates sheep and then the tour of the various gardens with its lovely Portland stone terraces.

Bluebells, Rhododendron's, Magnolias, Azaleas and Camellia’s, so many different shrubs which were covered in bloom and splashes of colour and the aroma of the Wisteria along the wall was amazing.

Graham Friend thanked Neil and the Shelley family for their hospitality.

Thank you also to the Red Deer Crediton staff for catering to us so well with superb meals. A well supported event and enjoyed by all.
