A ROYAL Picnic in the Park, held on the school field at Landscore Primary School in Crediton, was enjoyed by members of the school community and their families in brilliant sunshine on Friday, May 18.
Headteacher, Debbie Main who was delighted with the fantastic turnout said: "The Royal Picnic in the Park was to get everyone ready to celebrate the Royal Wedding."It was a good community event and the sunshine helped.
"The QE Jazz Band created a good atmosphere with their entertainment."
There was a fantastic atmosphere with Landscore Singers and Queen Elizabeth’s School Jazz Band providing the entertainment for the afternoon.
Children from Year 6 worked hard selling ice-poles and draw tickets to raise funds for leavers’ hoodies, a new initiative for this year’s leavers. A big thank you goes to all the local businesses who donated draw prizes.
Yvonne, Kayleigh and Jo of Landscore PTA sold refreshments at the picnic, as did Camper Coffee Co which donated £100 for headteacher, Debbie to take part in an ice-bucket challenge.
