DEVON County Council has tonight (Sunday, September 4) closed the road between Creedy Park, Crediton and Sandford due to a fallen tree.

The council says that staff attended and found that due to its size, it needs a tree surgeon to visit tomorrow morning (Monday, September 5), to remove it during daylight.

Motorists are advised of the road closure.It says updates will follow.

The Met Office this morning, September 4, issued a warning of thunderstorms, hail and disruption overnight until about 4am tomorrow, September 5, across the South West.
