LASTING 74 days, the Falklands War was the first military action since the Second World War that utilised all elements of the Armed Forces, with 255 British personnel losing their lives.

We will remember all those impacted by the conflict.

On Tuesday, June 14, the 40th anniversary of the end of the Falklands War, members of the Royal British Legion Crediton Branch, will lay a commemorative wreath at the Crediton Town and Hamlets War Memorial on Union Road.

All are welcome, members and non-members of the Royal British Legion.

Please gather at the War Memorial no later than 10.50am prior to two minutes silence at 11am and the brief address and saying of prayers.

Commemorative RBL badges are available for a suggestive donation of £4 in Evans Newsagents in Crediton High Street.
