THERE is good news in Crediton after the A3072 road has reopened today, Thursday, January 22, after days of being closed following a burst water main.

The burst water main in Exhibition Road saw thousands of gallons of water spray into the air until it could be repaired.

A temporary repair was used on the pipe after the incident on January 12 and the permanent repair followed.

The route is the main access towards Tiverton from Crediton.

Devon Highways deferred works which would have required the closure of the A3072 for two days, January 14 and 15 due to the SWW works on Exhibition Road.

Devon Highways plan for investigation works on the A3072 Road from Braddon Corner to Chilton Gate, Cadbury, including a full road closure, will now take place on Wednesday and Thursday, February 25 and 26, both dates inclusive.
