EARLIER this year outline planning permission was granted for a new primary school and up to 25 dwellings off Station Road, Newton St Cyres.

Newton St Cyres Primary School has now been allocated funding to build the new school by Devon County Council.

Design proposals for the new school are being developed that meet the needs of the school and the community.

Kingswood Homes are working on evolving a design for the residential element of this development to ensure that it can deliver a scheme which will provide high-quality housing whilst remaining sympathetic to its immediate surroundings.

Kingswood Homes is inviting the public to an exhibition on the proposals, which will take place in the existing school hall between 3pm and 7pm on Wednesday, July 6.

The public will also be able to see the plans for the proposed new school.
