HEAD veterinary nurse, Shelly Jefferies explains how at Jonathan Wood Veterinary Surgeons, they pride themselves in providing a high standard of both physical and mental care for their patients, and treating them as if they were their own.
The practice is forever evolving, with new equipment, medications and procedures, advancing the options of treatments for your beloved pets.
Within the home environment, pets are treated as family members, and owners rightly want to be sure they receive excellent medical treatment.
Horse owners and farmers also want to ensure their animals are receiving the best possible veterinary care.
How can you be sure of this at Jonathan Wood Veterinary Surgeons?
The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons practice standards scheme is a voluntary initiative to accredit veterinary practices.
To become accredited, practices volunteer for a rigorous inspection every four years, covering a range of minimum standards including hygiene, 24 hour emergency cover, staff training and certain types of equipment.
The vets are proud to announce that they have just completed their second inspection and have passed as an accredited general practice in small animal, equine and farm animal. This means high standards of care for animals and peace of mind for clients.
Other News……. New Director.
Many clients of Jonathan Wood will already know veterinary surgeon Lizzy Edwards. She works within all areas of the practice and it is with great excitement the vets can officially announce that Lizzy is now a director of the practice alongside Jonathan and Caroline. It is hoped that Lizzy will continue to help the practice grow and develop.
Client Evenings.
Client education is something that is taken very seriously at Jonathan Wood, who are, therefore, pleased to announce they have teamed up with Lapford Dog Club and will be running quarterly canine evenings.
The first evening discussed first aid and was a huge success, with lots of participants, and lovely cakes.
The vets are looking forward to the next evening, which will be held on October 23 at 7.30pm and will be focusing on Firework and Noise phobias.
