FOR the last 10 years staff at Ernest Jackson, manufacturers of medicated confectionery and vitamin products, have been dressing up on Children in Need Fridays to venture into Exeter to collect money from the generous shoppers.
Justin Offer, from Ernest Jackson, said that in exchange for donations, the staff hoped to raise a few smiles, which varied depending on how silly they looked.
While not many took part this year, there was a “Where’s Wally” theme and despite the poor weather, £200 was raised.
Justin added: “This will be matched by the business, boosting the sum to £400.
“Raising money for Children in Need is one part of our ‘Community’ activities where we actively encourage the EJ staff to volunteer in the local community or raise money for our chosen charity.”
