7.30pm - to August 10, Dartmoor Folk Festival, South Zeal, ceilidhs, workshops, broom dancing, step dancing, concerts, duck race, pub sessions, folk afternoons, walk on Dartmoor, church service, talks.

SATURDAY 9

10am to 4pm - Arts in the Park, Crediton Heart Project Summer Festival, Crafts Fair, food and other activities, workshops, circus skills, drumming workshop, hat decorating, Scratchworks Theatre performance, print making workshop, big doodle, Newcombes Meadow.

2pm to 4.30pm - St Lawrence Fair, St Lawrence Chapel, Threshers, Crediton, books, bric a brac, produce, tombola, delicious cakes and other refreshments. Draw for a hamper of Devon goodies. All welcome. Some of the proceeds from the day will be given to Medecins Sans Frontieres.

2.30pm - Cheriton Bishop Village Show, Village Hall, 50th anniversary, exhibits, prize giving, refreshments.

SUNDAY 10

11am - Lammas Service, Shobrooke Parish Church.

2pm - Sandford Summer Show, Sandford Parish Hall, view the exhibits, prizegiving, refreshments.

6pm - Evensong at St Lawrence Chapel, Threshers, Crediton, to celebrate the Patronal Festival of St Lawrence.

9am to 5pm - Okehampton Show, Stoney Park Showground, Okehampton, EX20 1SW.

2pm to 5pm - Crediton Town Band, Free Concert on the lawns at Downes, Crediton EX17 3PL, Donations welcome, Supporting Prostate Cancer UK, Take Your Own Picnic, seating.

10am to 4.30pm - to Monday, August 25, Pop-up Shop in Holy Cross Church, selling bric-a-brac, jewellery, gifts household and decorative items.

No Crediton Courier Drop-In.

FRIDAY 22

6pm to 7pm - Women's Rugby World Cup (RWC) celebrations - Crediton RFC Women and Girls' welcome any females interested in trying rugby, to Crediton RFC, to a non-contact session, followed by BBQ and watch England Women v USA Women game on the TV in the clubhouse after.

SATURDAY 23

10am to 12 noon - Crediton Repair Cafe, The Elephant on the Green, Sustainable Crediton.

Share in the Square, local musicians play, Town Square.

WEDNESDAY 27

12.30pm to 1.30pm - Crediton Neighbourhood Team Police and Communities Together Surgery, Crediton Town Square, an opportunity to speak with your local officers to discuss any issues of concern to you.
