THIS February, QE Theatre Academy brings Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s iconic rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar School Production to the stage.
A landmark production in modern musical theatre, the show explores the final days of Jesus’ life through powerful music and unforgettable storytelling, told from a uniquely human and contemporary perspective.

Audiences can expect a thrilling live score and emotionally charged performances, featuring well-known numbers such as “Superstar,” “Gethsemane,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” and “Heaven on Their Minds.”
Performed by a talented cast of students, the production showcases the dedication, creativity, and professionalism of young performers working with an experienced creative team.
Jesus Christ Superstar remains as relevant today as when it first premiered, raising timeless questions about leadership, loyalty, faith,
and humanity, while delivering an electrifying rock soundtrack that continues to captivate audiences of all ages.
Director Vicky Evans said she is “really excited to be staging this production as we have such a wealth of talent who are absolutely fantastic in the roles that they are playing.
“We are looking forward to sharing all their hard work with local audiences and allowing them to experience this epic musical.”

Performances will be staged in QE School’s Western Road Drama Hall, 7.30pm (Saturday matinee 2.30pm).
Rehearsals are now in their final stages, with the cast and creative team working incredibly hard to create a thrilling, high-quality production both musically and visually.
