The Okehampton Show is one of the highlights of Dartmoor’s summer calendar, offering a fantastic day out for all the family. Combining the very best of traditional agriculture with shopping, food, entertainment and hands-on activities, there is something to delight visitors of every age.

Discover a wonderful mix of attractions. From livestock competitions and rural demonstrations to local crafts, artisan food, cream teas and Devon cider, the show celebrates everything that makes our countryside so special. The show takes place on Thursday, August 13 at Stoney Park Showground. Gates open at 9am.

Entertainment takes place throughout the day. The Entertainment Ring will feature falconry displays, gun dog demonstrations and our Family Fun Dog Show.

Children can meet the giant tortoises, enjoy the hilarious antics of Dangerous Dave the Miniature Superhero, and laugh and learn with the ever-popular Sheep Show.

Our traditional livestock showing classes for cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and horses take place throughout the morning, culminating in the magnificent Grand Parade of Champion Livestock and Horses in the main ring during the afternoon.

The music stage once again offers a varied programme of live entertainment throughout the day, while the Vintage Section returns with an impressive display of more than 150 vintage tractors, machinery and vehicles, together with its main ring parade. Visitors can also enjoy the traditional Parade of Hounds and we're delighted to welcome renowned horseman Ben Atkinson as our 2026 Main Ring headline attraction.

Be sure to visit the Open Section in the Big Shed, together with the Women's Institute, Young Farmers and Beekeepers' marquees. The Craft Marquee and Devon Food Hall once again showcase an outstanding selection of local makers, producers and exhibitors.

Come along, enjoy everything the day has to offer and help us celebrate the very best of our local farming community and rural life.
