IF you missed it the first time, now is your chance to take part in the Lions Club of Crediton Firewalk.

Lion Peter Bryan said: “This is your chance to walk across hot coals on Crediton Town Square in aid of charity.

“Last year the Firewalk raised more than £5,000 towards Lions community fundraising with the help of 19 sure footed supporters.

“It is for all ages from 14 to 85 or even older, the biggest fundraiser last year was Sheila Whitehead (85) who raised nearly £1,000.

“It will take place on Saturday, October 4 from 6pm to 9pm and is a great evening for friends, family or a personal challenge.”

Peter added: “It's time to turn up the heat, break through barriers, and show the world what you're made of. Take the first step toward a memorable experience that transcends boundaries – sign up for the Lions Firewalk Challenge today! Don’t delay.”

He added that Scott Bell, of FirewalkUK will lead you through the necessary training to undertake the walk.”

Lion Sheila said: “I achieved something I never thought I would be brave enough to do. I’ll try anything once and I certainly had fun doing it”.

She went on to say “If I can do it so can you. The experience was amazing”.

Lions meet monthly and provide service to our community in a wide variety of ways.

Booking your place on the walk is easy and through Eventbright. It is just £25 and you are asked to raise a minimum £125 extra sponsorship through “Just giving”. This is simply done and you can add Gift aid and set up your own campaign page.
