MID Devon attracts many creative folk and no fewer than 28 talented artists with a connection to Cheriton Fitzpaine have generously donated works for a Grand Fundraising Auction to be held in the Parish Hall at 7pm on Friday, November 21.
The money raised will contribute to the cost of purchasing and renovating the redundant Methodist Chapel that will house the community shop and café and provide a creative hub for the village.
Brian Goodison-Blanks from Bearnes, Hampton and Littlewood has kindly offered his services to run the auction which will feature 40 Lots.
Everyone will be welcome to view the Lots, drink tea and coffee and sample a range of scrumptious cakes from 2pm to 4pm on the day.
One artist who has donated a piece for the auction is International potter, Doug Fitch who now lives in Scotland but started his career in the village.
Local artists Sara and Simon Bor and Isabel Merrick have also put forward pieces of their work.
Alongside this ground-breaking event, the organisers are running a Fundraising Pot-Luck Draw of hundreds of smaller art works.
Tickets for this can be purchased from the community shop and from the Cheriton Fitzpaine art prize Crowdfunder page.
