MEMBERS of ANTS, the Actors of North Tawton Society, are thrilled to be back in rehearsal for a pantomime, which will be staged this month.

In association with Noda, ANTS will present the pantomime “Cinderella”, in North Tawton Town Hall, from Tuesday, April 12 to Saturday, April 16.

Audiences can expect to meet Prince Charming, Dandini, Buttons, a Fairy Godmother, Wicked Stepmother, Cinderella and many other characters.

There will also be a number of well-known songs and some dance routines to accompany the pantomime.

It promises to be great fun for all the family.

The director, Twiggy Lake, is one of the most experienced, admitting that he has produced nearly 30 pantomimes to-date.

He explained: “Our committee had been meeting on Zoom and decided, when permitted, to plan for this pantomime.

“It put out a call for people to take part and many people came forward, many of our faithful cast members and a lot of new people.

“While we lost some, a lot of families with children have come forward and it means ANTS will be strong now for the future.”

ANTS member Sarah Cacchio, commented: “We are so excited to put on this pantomime after having to put all our plans on hold for the last two years.

“We have an amazing cast of old and new members, including some young ANTS and a dance troupe.”

Doors open for “Cinderella” each evening at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Tickets are now available from North Tawton Post Office, priced at £8 for adults and £5 for those 12 and under, or on the door if not sold out.
