AT Spreyton, the whole school had a part to play in the end of term performance of “The Wizard of Oz” in the Village Hall.

Hare Class (KS2) took the leads.

Due to small numbers, most pupils took two parts each. Swallow Class (KS1) were Munchkins.

Dorothy was played by Sahra Dack, Farmer Zeke/Scarecrow was Jack Short, Uncle Henry/Cowardly Lion by Morgan Evans, Aunt Em/Tinman was Suzan Dack, Mrs Gulch/Wicked Witch of the West was Poppy Gardener, Ava Baxter was Glinda the Good Witch of the North and the Wizard of Oz was Raffie Hutchinson.

Others members played trees etc. Costumes were mostly provided by parents,  scenery was by Hare and Swallow Class pupils.

The production was by Mrs Stevens and Mr Middleton.

This was not a fundraiser but attracted about 30 parents and members of the wider community in the afternoon and more than  40 people for the evening performance.  Both were free-of-charge.
