CHILDREN in Team 2 (Years 3/4) at Landscore Primary School, Crediton have been taking part in a QR Code Time Trail project which is now up-and-running.
The children have been learning about the history of Crediton and through the project explain what Crediton is about.
Children from Team 2 explained: "We worked in small groups and made videos about seven sites of interest in the town such as Crediton Parish Church and we included facts about each one.
"The project aims to help people learn about Crediton and we have tried to make it more relevant to younger people.
"People can go to the App Store and get a free QR Reader which will enable them to scan the PR codes displayed at each site, and then use their mobile phone or tablet to watch a video with facts about that particular site."
The project has been sponsored by Chamber of Commerce with support from Crediton Town Council, Crediton Parish Church and Mid Devon District Council in response to letters written by the team.
Team 2 teacher, Mr Hadden, explained that a Time Trail leaflet will be put together soon and more facts will be added to the on-going project next year.
A time capsule has also been put together to enable people to learn more about the town.
