CHILDREN at Landscore Primary School took part in a Grand Prix cheered on by family and supporters in the school playground.

Each child made and decorated their own racing car out of a cardboard box, which was brightly painted and decorated.

The four classes took turns to race around a track, stopping for a drink, letting a granny cross the road and for a pit stop.

The Grand Prix was part of the spring term topic of travel and transport.

The children also made sandwiches and refreshments for parents who were able to go into the classrooms to look at their children’s topic books.
