CHILDREN from Year 3 at Hayward’s Primary School, Crediton worked on a "Shakespeare 400 project."
They took part in four days of "Shakespeare" themed activities to mark the 400 year anniversary of his death.
As well as learning about "Shakespeare’s" life and making timelines they also learnt about The Globe Theatre and made models.
The story of "Macbeth" was retold and the children found out more about the language of "Shakespeare" including the use of rhythm and they illustrated original quotes.
They also learnt and mapped the story of "Hamlet" with a "gallery walk" of settings and created a booklet of descriptive language.
The children also compared and contrasted "The Lion King" with "Hamlet."
