HAYWARD’S Primary School in Crediton held its Platinum Jubilee celebrations on Friday, May 27 when the children wore “royal” clothing and celebrated with a picnic lunch on the field.

The children sang songs of the decade hosted by children in Year 6 and they made their own television show.

They also made story boards featuring life in the 1950s with photographs of their own family members, (including school photographs of parents and grandparents), weddings and holiday photographs.

Decorations, donated by Tesco adorned the school and the PTA (Parent Teacher Association) gave each child a bookmark as a Jubilee gift.
