INTERNATIONALLY renowned storyteller David Heathfield returns to Crediton Arts Centre on Saturday, November 13 with his new show "Around the World in 88 Tales".

David has worked with RAMM in Exeter and the Arts Council to come up with stories from across the globe inspired by objects in the museum collection.

He draws wonderful world treasures from the museum’s bottomless basket and tells you the extraordinary folk tales shared by storytellers in Gaza, Korea, Cameroon and beyond, all inspired by these same mysterious wonders.

David spends his life in pursuit of wonderful tales, learned from generous story sharers all over the world, seeking stories which reach across time and across cultures to gather us all close.

He is the author of the book "Storytelling with our Students" and the chapters "Storytelling for a Better World" and "Storytelling for Diverse Voices" for the British Council.

The show begins at 7.30pm at Crediton Arts Centre’s East Street building.

David will also lead a storytelling workshop entitled "Anyone Can Tell a Story" from 2pm to 4pm on the same afternoon.

So if you’ve got a story bubbling up inside you, it’s time to let it out.

In this inclusive workshop you’ll learn to tell a popular and fun Turkish folk tale in your own unique way and then be inspired by a mystery museum artefact from RAMM to share a story of your own.

Tickets for the performance are £8 (£5 concessions) with workshop tickets at £6, and discounted joint workshop and performance ticket for £10, available from: www.ticketsource.co.uk/creditonartscentre .
