THE winning entry in the Christmas Tree Treasure Trail organised by Crediton Parish Church was Dylan and Toby who were presented with their prizes of a book token and tin of sweets from the Rector, the Rev Matthew Tregenza outside Crediton Parish Church.

Drawing the name from all the correct entries submitted, he said: “Obviously everybody missed our holding the full Christmas Tree festival in church this year due to the restrictions.

“That is always a great opportunity for a large number of people from across the wider community to come into Holy Cross Church, so we had to be creative to take a bit of the magic of Christmas out into the town in a way families could enjoy safely instead.

“We are really grateful to all the businesses, the Town Council and individuals who hosted one of our virtual trees with the special letters.

“We hope families had fun walking the trail and finding all the letters - which rearrange to make the phrase ‘Patron Saint of Devon’.

“Congratulations to Dylan and Toby and all the others who solved it.”
