THE Moon Jazz House Band has agreed to donate the door takings and any other money from its Jazz and Blues Club Night on Thursday, December 17 to Queen Elizabeth’s Schools fund to accommodate Syrian refugee children in boarding and to enable them to attend the school.

The club night, which will begin at 7.30pm, will be held at Buccaneers Bar, East Street, Crediton.

Admission is £4 for members of the audience and £3 for “jammers” who wish to take part in the music sessions. Admission for those under 17 years will be free-of-charge.

The young “jammers session will run from 7.30pm to 8.15pm when there will be a set from The Moon Jazz House Band.

At 9.45pm the older “jammers” will play.

Andrew Vaccari, organiser, said: “All jammers can call a tune with the House Band Jammers and can sing or take lead on their instrument or sit in the rhythm section, guitar, drums, bass or even keyboards, if you bring some.

“The sessions normally end at 11pm.”

During the evening there will be cabaret-style seating with candles on each table and there will also be a table waiter service.
