SHOWCASING a comprehensive display of vehicles for disabled people, the Motability Scheme’s One Big Day event in Exeter attracted more than 2,500 visitors when it returned to Westpoint on Saturday, July 16.

Nearly 300 guests took the opportunity to take to the road and test drive a vehicle of their choice with a professional driving instructor, with options including a range of cars fitted with some of the most popular driving adaptations available on the Motability Scheme.

Test drives are an important part of deciding which vehicles are best suited to individual needs and the One Big Day event gave guests a unique opportunity to try a variety of cars and adaptations all in one place.

Visitors enjoyed exploring the wide range of vehicles on display which included more than 50 cars from 13 leading manufacturers.

The One Big Day event also gave visitors the opportunity to explore more than 20 scooters and powered wheelchairs as well as a wide range of Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles and products from adaptation suppliers.

Attendees were also able to talk to Motability Scheme advisors and gather useful information from Scheme partners – Kwik Fit, RAC and RSA Motability – as well as advice from Disabled Motoring UK.
