THE Whitestone Players are currently staging an hilarious version of the pantomime Dick Whittington at Whitestone Parish Hall with final performances, tonight, Friday, February 5 at 7.30pm and tomorrow, Saturday, February 6 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

The Alan Frayn version of the pantomime lends itself to plenty of action, comedy and banter.

It features the best baddie of them all, King Rat, who does all he can to prevent a cargo of rat poison from being sold to the Sultan of Morocco.

From the sewers of London to the shores of Morocco, audiences have been treated to an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

The pantomime is produced and directed by Laurence Blades and Joanne Barker.

Whitestone Players has been staging pantomimes annually, except for 1988, since 1967.

The Players have raised thousands of pounds for charity over the years.

Profits from the pantomime this year are in aid of the Exeter and East Devon Down's Syndrome Group and the Parish Hall roof appeal.

To check for availability of tickets for tonight or tomorrow's performances, telephone 01392 433997.

Tickets are priced at £5 for adults and £3 for children.
