EVERYBODY loves to feed the giant koi in the display pond at Bow Garden & Aquatic Centre and by doing this they are supporting the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

It’s a fun and relaxing activity for all the family and every 20p paid for the fish food has been saved up by Bow Garden & Aquatic Centre and presented to The Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT) this week.

The total given was a fantastic £1,311.60.

Bow Garden Centre’s resident fish, Dory was on hand to present the cheque to Ambrose who is the Devon Air Ambulance Paramedic Bear along with Tracey Owen from the Trust.

The charity provides urgent medical assistance to people in Devon and the two helicopters allow them to reach emergency scenes, often inaccessible by road, within minutes enabling them to save hundreds of lives every year.

Bow Garden Centre continues to support the Devon Air Ambulance and customers can donate at collection boxes at the tills, or can support the charity by feeding the giant koi in the display pond for a donation of 20p. The Waterside Café is the perfect place to grab a tasty breakfast or a homemade lunch from the daily specials board and you can sit out on the decking and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the fish swimming in the pond with the sound of running water from the nearby stream, or the newly installed fountain.

The Café was purposely designed to provide a relaxing and tranquil environment in which customers can take their time and relax and with the sun making more of an appearance as we head into summer, it’s a spot to relish. With easy disabled access, outdoor play towers and indoor soft play and free wifi and dogs allowed on the decking or verandah, there really is something for everyone.
