THANKS to contributions from several people Yeoford now has a defibrillator. It is beside the primary school gates, the school providing the electricity to keep it at the correct temperature and carry out regular checks.

The defibrillator was instigated by the school headteacher, Peter Halford who went to Crediton Hamlets Parish Council and so the wheels began turning.

Mr Halford said a number of people had been instrumental in getting the equipment.

They included electrician Martyn Gilbert who lives in Yeoford who helped with fitting and wiring.

Paul Steer of Devondale supplied electrical wiring and fittings and Paul Hawkins made the brackets and fittings to install the defibrillator.

The Brimacombe family donated some funds towards buying the machine and the parish council and Cllr Nick Way (Devon County Councillor, Crediton Rural) donated funds towards its purchase as well from his Community Fund.
