A REGULAR, monthly Conversation Café will take place at Thorne’s Farm Shop at Stockleigh Pomeroy on the first Tuesday of each month, from 3pm until 4.30pm.

The sessions will be run by Lesley Rogers, who recently ran four weekly taster sessions and raised £655 for a blood pressure monitor for Cheriton Fitzpaine Surgery.

Anyone wishing to learn or develop BSL (British Sign Language), practice or use BSL as their first language is welcome to go along.

The aim of the group is to encourage better communication skills and develop more confident conversations with others who are deaf, deafened or have some communication issues.

As spring is now blooming into summer perhaps this is the time to learn something new?

Why not go along and have a go?

Cards will be issued at the Conversation Café showing the basic signs.

Once you’ve learnt these you will be able to use them to order tea, coffee and cake, which will be available to buy.
