A CREDITON man is to have his head shaved to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

Daniel Webb, who runs Crediton Coffee Company in Market Street, Crediton, said: “I’ve made the decision to embrace my continuing lack of follicle growth by getting rid of them.

“I thought why stop there? Why not use it to help someone else? That’s why I’m raising money for Prostate Cancer UK and at the end of April, my hair comes off and I officially go bald!”

He added: “I’m really doing it because a friend of mine was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and it made me think I should do something.”

Prostate Cancer UK fights to help more men survive prostate cancer and enjoy a better quality of life.

Its aim is to find answers by funding ground-breaking research, leading change by raising the profile of the disease and improving care. And it supports men by providing vital information and services.

Dan has a donation point in the coffee shop and hopes people will call in and make a donation.
