A CYCLE route from Crediton to Exeter has moved a step closer.

Planning, engineering and construction management organisation Parsons Brinckerhoff has been commissioned by Devon County Council to carry out a feasibility study into a cycle route from Crediton to Exeter.

Parsons Brinckerhoff has also been asked to investigate a possible cycle route from Exeter to Tiverton.

Devon County Council has allocated a budget of £100,000 over the next three years from the "Investing in Devon" programme, with £33,000 in the current financial year.

A county council spokesman told the Courier: "The study is still in progress so there are no recommendations/conclusions to report at this stage."
