THE Rotary Club of Crediton Boniface held a successful quiz night at the Boniface Centre on March 22 which saw 18 teams compete, with proceeds going to FORCE.

The evening was organised by Sheila Ralph and Garry Adams compiled the questions and was also the quiz master.

The Friends of FORCE co-ordinator Mervyn Hayes gave a short talk on the work of the charity, and what it achieves by all voluntary donations.

The final winners after a tie-break question on "How long is the Bayeaux Tapestry?”, were the Creedy Walkers from Sandford, who were Keith and Eileen Stanlake, Pauline and Simone Romaine and Elizabeth Holman, who all received a large box of Cadbury’s Heroes.

There was also a large raffle. Sheila Ralph said the final figure raised was a magnificent £1,342, and she expressed her grateful thanks to everyone who went along to support the event and to all the helpers who worked hard throughout the evening.
