A CREDITON woman who makes up hundreds of filled shoe boxes of items for children and adults in Moldova and Ukraine has issued an appeal for more shoeboxes in which to place items.

Margaret Tucker fills the boxes with toys, sweets, small items of clothes, knitted items and much more so that the children and adults can have gifts for Christmas.

Margaret sends the items via Hugh Scudder and his charity, Christian Response to Eastern Europe (CR2EE) and Hugh recently came to Crediton to collect donated items from Crediton’s Morrisons store and generous shoppers.

He was at the store with Margaret for some of the time.
