CREDITON Town Council and the Christmas in Crediton Committee have issued an update regarding the Christmas trees and lights.

They say: “We appreciate that we are now into February and the decorations still remain in the town.

“We are working hard to organise these being taken down, however we have obviously faced a number of difficulties with the current restrictions.

“If you have a business in the town with a tree or illuminated star and are able to turn off the electric supply to this, it would be really helpful and we will be able to start the disconnection of the electrics and the removal of the decorations.

“Every year we have a wonderful group of volunteers who help put up and remove the decorations and the safety of our volunteers is our priority.

“Hopefully you will start to see the removal of the decorations over the next few weeks. Thank you for your support.”
