EACH year Crediton Town Council awards grants to local community groups, and this year (2023/24) has allocated £32,600 to 29 local groups.

Crediton Town Council explained: "After careful deliberation, the Grants Sub-Committee approved a sum of £32,600 for community grants.

"This year's grant funding process was particularly challenging with everyone feeling the strain of financial difficulties and this directly affecting the ability of community groups to operate."

The council says it makes the grants to local voluntary or charitable organisations where the activities will contribute to, and be of benefit to, the life of the community and benefit the people of Crediton.
