CREDITON Town Band was able to hold its first full rehearsal for 59 weeks on Sunday, May 23.
To comply with present Covid-19 restrictions Mr and Mrs Vere of Moor Farm, Morchard Bishop, kindly allowed use of their Big Barn at the farm in which to rehearse.
Music lovers will be thrilled to hear that over a number of Sunday afternoons, Crediton Town Band members, some with friends, will be playing to entertain people in Crediton’s Town Square.
The first two Sundays will include band members with Adie Nuthall and his Jazz Band “Holly Water Stompers”, supported by Crediton Youth Orchestra.
The first will be from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Sunday, May 30.
The second, with the same performers will be at the same time on Sunday, June 27.
The first performance by the full Town Band will take place in the Town Square from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Sunday, July 25.
The second performance, also by the full Band, will be in the Town Square from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Sunday, September 26.
A spokesman for the band said: “The band’s main aim is to provide entertainment and bring some enjoyment to the community.”
