CREDITON Town Band gave a most enjoyable concert on the Church Green at Lapford as part of the celebrations for the Centenary of the building of the Victory Hall.

Their very first piece was “Congratulations” which everyone sang along to.

They played other popular pieces including the “Floral Dance” and the “Lapford Poacher”.

Band leader Colin Cross then asked the audience to identify a piece the band would play and the winner would have a prize.

After three attempts the winner was Josie Robertson who correctly guessed it was the theme to “Last of the Summer Wine” and received a prize of a ticket for the bands Christmas Concert on December 12.
